Máttur has long legs, light body and a long and supple neck. The movements are very big in tolt andt trot.

He is very well built with long legs and a high set, long, and raised neck, and his tolt and trot are characterized by long strides and high leg action.  Máttur is out of the same mare (1 prize) as the stunning young stallion Steggur frá Hrísdal, who is a first prize four gaited stallion, and one of the most successful four gaited sport horses in T1 and V1 for the last several years.
