Markús is very tall for his age, and strongly built both over the topline, the croup and the legs and hooves.

Markús moves in a very big trot, and shows in between a very supple tolt.  The trot and canter has very much suspension, and all gaits are characterized by correct beat, regularity and suppleness.  The neck is long and arched coming out of very tall withers.  This guy is a brother (out of the same mare) as the successful sport competition horse Steggur frá Hrísdal, and is himself very promising for all four gaited competition.
