This is the time of year when we are very busy with foaling mares and everything that comes with that.  The vet is here several times per week ultrasounding mares, and now we already have two confirmed pregnant.  Erna is pregnant with Straumur frá Breiðholti, a very good Hrynjandi son that belongs to the Árbakki breeding farm.  Freyja frá Enni, a young mare in training who was to be shown this spring, is pregnant with Álfur frá Selfossi.  Many mares are waiting to be confirmed pregnant, and we have been using stallions like Aron frá Strandarhöfði, Stáli frá Kjarri, Kjarni frá Þjóðólfshaga, Héðinn frá Feti, Heimir frá Holtsmúla, Stormur frá Leirulæk and Glymur frá Innri-Skeljabrekku.  Two mares will be going to Sær frá Bakkakoti and other stallions as well.
